Hi Leute, ich wollte euch mal nen kleinen Tipp geben, der das modden übersichtlicher und bei umfangreichen mods schneller macht. Ich mache zurzeit einen eigenen kleinen mod, der unter anderem viele neue Forschungsitems beinhaltet. Da es ja möglich ist (wie ich dank Maug_Team erfahren habe) eigene xml zu erstellen und diese dann z.B. in der asset zu laden, kann man mithilfe von excel makros diese xml schreiben.
Bei mir ist es so, dass ich ca. 70 neue items ähnlichen typs habe. Da ich aber keine Lust hatte diese händisch zu kopieren und einzelne Werte reinzuschreiben(was bei 70 items ziemlich lange dauern kann) habe ich erstmal in Excel eine Tabelle gemacht. z.B erste Spalte enthält namen der items, zweite die guid, dritte credits usw. .
So hat man alle items auf einen blick mit den entsprechenden eigenschaften. Der Vorteil ergibt sich hierbei ganz klar im Balancing, da man zB bei den Credits verechnungsfaktoren hinterlegen kann. Per makro lassen sich dann alle werte in eine xml schreiben. Im Makro muss nur ein "TemplateItem" definiert werden.
Das Programmieren des Makros hat bei mir ca. eine halbe stunde gedauert und ich habe so ziemlich keine ahnung von VB^^. Durch straten des makros wird sofort eine xml mit allen items geschrieben. Falls ich werte ändern möchte, tue ich das einfach in der excel tabelle und muss nicht mehr die einträge in der xml suchen. Dies bringt bei vielen ähnlichen items einen immensen Vorteil gerade wenn man zum testen des mods Werte öfters ändert. Dieses System lässt sich natürlich auch auf das modden von Gebäuden übertragen.
Also vielleicht benutzt ihr bei euren mods schon ein ähnliches Verfahren, aber wenn nicht dann hoffe ich dass dieser tipp hilfreich für euch ist. Wollte auchmal was zu eurer Arbeit beitragen^^.
